Office Information: About Your Visit

When you call to schedule an appointment with our office, front office staff will help prepare you for your visit. We will let you know if you need a referral and schedule an appointment with the appropriate Physician Assistant or Physician. We will inform you of what paperwork you can fill out in advance as well as what you should bring to your visit.

When you arrive to the office, you can relax in our comfortable waiting room equipped with a large fish tank, movies, magazines and toys and books for children. While you or your family are waiting, you can enjoy coffee or a snack from the coffee cart in the lobby.

One of our medical assistants will take your height and weight and will show you to an exam room. We will then complete a full history and physical while one of our physician assistants reviews your chart and films.

One of our physician assistants will then discuss the reason for your visit, examine you, review your studies with you and give a diagnosis and treatment option. If your treatment includes surgery, you will meet our surgery scheduler who will talk to you about the logistics of your surgery and schedule an appointment for you to meet Dr. Rubin if he is not in the office at that time.

If your treatment includes injections, in-office x-rays, casting, a brace or other medical device, we are happy to take care of this in our office.

You will then be able to meet with the front desk staff to make a follow-up appointment.
